Borgsjåbrotet er Nore og Uvdal kommunes sitt høyeste punkt og er dermed i selebert selskap. Toppen er dermed en kommunetopp. Kommunetopper er naturlig nok et noe større prosjekt for en toppsamler enn fylkestopper, men det finnes sikkert mange toppjegere som har dette som et mål. Jeg har absolutt ikke satt meg noe mål om dette, men på årets lengste fredag var Hanne og jeg allikevel en topp rikere. En forblåst langfredag, men sola skinte og vi fikk oppleve vid utsikt fra toppunktet.

Borgsjåbrotet er lett tilgjengelig fra veien mellom Uvdal og Tessungdalen. Fra parkeringen ved Svenskebu er det kun ca 2,5 km i luftlinje til toppen. Veien er vinteråpen så tilgjengeligheten blir ikke dårligere vinterstid enn sommerstid.

Turen vår startet ganske sent. Klokken var blitt nesten ett før vi la avgårde innover mot Borgsjå og bakkene opp mot Borgsjåbrotet. Det blåste godt fra nordvest så hetta ble dratt godt over hodet. Skiføret var hardt og isete. Feller var derfor en særdeles god ting i bakkene opp mot toppen. Vi la veivalget rett mot toppen. Dette skulle vise seg å være en aldri så liten bommert da vi istedenfor kom opp på toppen merket 1456 på kartet . Vi ble litt lange i maska da vi oppdaget en høyere topp lenger borte da vi trodde vi hadde nådd den allerede.

Heldigvis var det ikke mange metrene opp til toppvarden, så "bomturen" var ikke av det store slaget

. På grunn av den kalde vinden ble ikke oppholdet på toppen lengre enn nødvendig. Litt fotografering ble det tid til. Utsikten var tross alt flott og vid. I sør Tinnsjå. I sørvest den alltids tronende Gaustatoppen. I nordvest de flate viddene innover Hardangervidda. I nordøst kunne vi skimte Hemsedalsfjella.

På veien ned ble forsøkt noen telemarksvinger, som alltid med vekslende hell på fjellski. Nede på flatene ved Borgsjå kunne vi studere to stykker med skiseil. Dette gikk fort unna under de gunstige vindforholdene.

Etter rundt 2 timer var vi tilbake ved Svenskebu, passe ør i hodet på grunn av all vinden og en kommunetopp mer på lista...
