To klassikere fra toppen av Trollstigen. Disse toppene er nok mer populære med ski på beina, men denne gangen tok vi turen på sommerføre og i strålende solskinn. Toppen av Finnan ble besøkt først. På returen ble det en avstikker opp til Alnestinden. God sikt denne dagen ga et vidt utsyn mot omkringliggende ville og kvasse Romsdalstinder.

Finnan og ikke minst Alnestinden er blant de mest populære toppturene fra toppen av Trollstigen . Sistnevnte er nok hyppigst besøkt med ski på beina. Dette skyldes nok at skisesongen på akkurat denne toppen kan vare helt fra sent i august og helt ut til juni .

Utsikt nordøstover mot Trollveggen med Trolltindene. I forgrunnen toppen av Bispen og Bispevatnet.

Denne dagen var det derimot vanlige fjellstøvler og shorts som ble brukt for å bestige de to toppene.

Ei ettertenksom rype på vei opp mot Alnestinden.

Finnan ble besteget først. Toppen bestiges greit via den brede ryggen fra sør. Det eneste litt brattere partiet er opp mot sadelen på ryggen som går mellom Finnan og Alnestinden. Her er terrenget en god del brattere og en del løs grus og stein gjør at man må være litt ekstra på vakt .

Fortsatt skiføre ned fra skiklassikeren Alnestinden.

Fra den samme nevnte sadelen bestiges også Alnestinden greit på sommerføre via ryggen fra nord. Snøbakken opp til selve toppryggen er bratt, men ved vanlig fast og god sommersnø under beina skal ikke dette dette partiet by på større problemer.

Ned fra toppen av Alnestinden kan man enten følge samme rute som man bruker med ski på beina, eller gå ned den samme veien som man går opp; via nordryggen. Vi valgte den siste muligheten, og brukte de seiglivede og gjenværende snørennene i lia ned mot fylkesveien som avlasting for beina.
