Det gikk radig, og det tok ikke lang tid før vi krysset det nederste Tovatnet i retning av Medskaret . Vi skulle tydeligvis få oppleve nok en herlig vinterdag. I Medskaret tok vi en god lunsjpause før vi la avgårde mot skaret mellom Østre- og Storsomrungnebba. Skiføret var bra, og fellene satt bra i bakkene opp fra Medskarvatnet. Det begynte å blåse ganske kraftig når vi var ca. halveis opp i bakken, og innover i botnen like nordvest for Østre måtte jeg ta på både vindjakke og vindvotter. 10 minus og vind merkes.
